COADF Press Kit & Promo Record

Here is a promotional UK press kit folder for the album release of Confessions on a Dancefloor. Also included in the picture is a 12" promo record of Hung Up. The press kit is not very spectacular, but the Hung Up record is a real gem. Quite hard to find, and the unique silver discoball die-cut sleeve doesn't make it worse. High quality promotional records like this are hardly ever made anymore!

The Madonna Collecting Bibles

I can't believe these books even exist! These are three volumes of books, all about collecting Madonna items! Each of the three books (The Eighties, The Nineties and Millenium) cover one decade each respectively. The books were made in France and are written in both French and English. It's the ultimate Madonna database and a great reference as to seeing just how rare various Madonna items are. The books also contains a lot of tidbits, chart & sales figures as well as many unpublished photos of Madonna.

Sounds like I'm advertising these books but they are truly amazing. And don't buy them overpriced at various internet auction sites, because they are still available.

Collection of recent Picture Discs

Here are all of Madonnas official picture discs released during recent years (2006 an onwards). These are not very hard to find, but they are beautiful items non the less. The Get Together picture disc was one of my first Madonna items (and still one of my very favourite). I remember being so happy when I got it, playing it over and over again!

Nobody Knows Me

In 2004, Madonna Icon fanclub members had the chance to buy this book for 1 month only. In the book Madonna and her "Angels" comment on her career, and it contains many rare images of her as well. I love this item because it's not very often Madonna writes a book about herself!

Like a Virgin & Other Big Hits

This is a Japanese 12" EP including dance remixes on some of Madonna's earliest hits. I like this because the cover is unique and the pink OBI makes it look exotic :)

Erotica & Bedtime Stories Vinyl Albums

Due to the rising popularity of the CD in the early nineties, these two albums (especially Bedtime Stories) can be relatively difficult to find on vinyl. They do come in cool gatefold sleeves though, and are great additions to any Madonna collection. I just recently managed to come over the Bedtime Stories album for $40 which I happily paid since it was the last vinyl album missing in my collection!

Get Together Discoball CD

With Get Together being one of my absolute favourite Madonna songs, I always try to acquire any release of it that I can come over. I had to pay a small fortune for this very rare promo CD, but it really is a beautiful item. This is easily my favourite Madonna promo CD!

Into the Hollywood Groove

This CD was given out to customers at GAP in 2003 as a promotional campaign. It includes the rather good mashup of Into the Groove and Hollywood and also features Missy Elliot. Not very hard to find, but still a nice piece of Madonna memorabilia.

Celebration Tees

Here are two Celebration promo tees which I got with a bundle of other Madonna stuff in a charity auction. Wear it and let your friend wear the other one and you're ready for a night out ;)

SEX

No introduction required for this. The infamous SEX book. Good to keep lying around the room when friends who can't tell Madonna and Britney Spears apart come over. Quite controversial back in the day apparently, but it's a great book which makes for some very interesting reading.

Discolite Boombox!

This is in no way official Madonna memorabilia, but ever since I saw it in the Hung Up video, I knew that I had to get a Discolite Boombox. Proving easier said than done, it took me almost 5 years to find one. And it was worth the wait! It's been used by Madonna, it's gigantic and it's got flashing lights! Perfection!

Like A Prayer Cassettes

Here is a collection of all the Like a Prayer cassette sleeves. While Express Yourself (second issue), Keep it Together and Oh Father can be very hard to get hold of, the Remixed Prayer mini album is definately the hardest to find. I have only ever seen one on ebay and I was quick to grab it! Nice little collection this, with all the singles being amazing songs and some with great remixes!

Who's That Girl Tour - Japanese Laserdisc

Here's an official "Mitsubishi Special" Laserdisc of the Who's That Girl Tour live in Japan. Unfortunately I don't have a Laserdisc player so I can't watch it, but I thought it would be an unusual addition to my collection. I had never seen a laserdisc before I got this one, it's like a giant DVD!

7" Picture Discs

These are all of Madonna's official 7" picture discs, not including shaped ones. The singles are Dear Jessie, Vogue, Fever, Secret and Take a Bow. Fever and Take a Bow are limited editions with numbered backing cards. Vogue is my favourite though, simply because of the great picture (and of course the song is amazing too).

Sticky & Sweet Tour Gift

This black leather passport holder was given to me and all other "Hot Ticket" holders at the 2008 S&S Show in Frankfurt. It is of very nice quality with "Madonna Sticky & Sweet" embossed on the front. It comes with a matching aliminium pen. In the picture is also an ebay-bought Confessions Tour Amsterdam card originally used to buy drinks and food at the 2005 Confessions Tour Concert.

Like A Prayer 3" Singles

Three singles from the Like A Prayer album were released on the short-lived 3" CD format: Like A Prayer, Express Yourself and Cherish. If you're not familiar with the format, these CDs feel so tiny, and the gatefold sleeves make them very cute little collectibles.

Old School Madonna T-shirt

Just got this in the mail today, it was just too cool not to order. It's a men's t-shirt with one of my favourite old-school Madonna photos. I'm gonna wear it this weekend!

Vintage Madonna Figurines!

These are definately some of my favourite collectibles! Here are three figurine dolls of Madonna from the Desperately Seeking Susan movie, all in their original packaging. Three different figurines were designed and released back in 1985. Impressively detailed they are some of the most attention-grabbing items in my collection!

Secret Vinyl Releases

Here are three vinyl releases of the song Secret. As with all Bedtime Story vinyl singles, these were released in a somewhat limited quantity because of the rising popularity of the CD around the time of release. The German 9362-41785-0 release (bottom left) can be very hard to get hold of.

Madonna Bedtime Story - CD + Storybook

Here is a nice limited edition cd-single of the song Bedtime Story. It comes in a digipack with CD 1 of 2 and a short little storybook with painted pictures and text excerpts from the song.

Confessions Promo Singles

Here are four european promo cds - one for each of the four singles from Confessions on a Dancefloor. They all have slightly different artwork, "Jump" being somewhat harder to find than the rest.

Music on Minidisc

Only three Madonna albums were given out on the shortlived Minidisc format; The Immaculate Collection, Ray of Light and as in this picture - Music. Comes with a unique format booklet.

COADF - Handnumbered Pink Vinyl

This is probably one of the sexiest Madonna releases ever. You are looking at a copy of Confessions on a Dancefloor on double pink vinyl. This is the handnumbered US release. Give this record a spin on a good record player and you will be in heaven.

Rays of Light

Here is a beautiful promotional VHS called Rays of Light. It was released in 1999 and includes the videos of the five singles from the Ray of Light album.
